Gamay ra akong ma contribute, for low end check out Samsung Galaxy Y or the Lenovo A60-DualSIM andriod phone, personally I dli ko mo consider ug middle end andriod phones a worthy purchase, its either you go low end or high end.

As of now everything revolves on what the price the Galaxy S2 is set at then dira nimo e compare imong other option, since it is the best andriod phone out ( aside from the Galaxy Nexus ). Compare ka dira when it comes to software support, 'moddability' and warranty.. currently pabor kaayo ang samsung gyud for warranty kay ang service center naa ras SM nya dili na required e bilin imong phone when mag order sila ug parts, if you go with HTC,Sony,LG.. hasol kaayo ang warranty.. not that they are bad brands but they dont offer anything better than samsung yet.
Thanks pud sa imo input! So murag Galaxy S2 jud imong main OPTION... so far sa akong nabasa sa imo posts (lol, murag stalker).. kay mu buy ka phone, then refund, then buy new fone (which is awesome). Unsa na diay imo fone ron? Murag gi refund man nimo imo Note.
For low-end, feel jud nimo mao sha ang best phone sa iya price range? Mao mana promo sa Sun ata, Galaxy Y.

@TS: so what is your capable price range? maybe we can suggest you a certain phone...

EarlZ was right, I guess at the moment SII is still reigning...and second would be the Nexus if only it has the exynos chipset and the expandability of the SII...I love the Nexus' display though.

I would buy a phone that I think is really worth it for it's price range. Let's say nag suggest ug Galaxy Y for 9k, but Galaxy S2 is 22k.. I would try to scrutinize the specs if worth it ba jud, syempre mu think pud ta ug long term ug usage.

My max price range would be 30k.

Im not sure if your intentionally mocking me, but let me just clarify this so that others wont get the wrong Idea. When I got the SGS2 it had issues, I had a total of 3 replacements and 4 service center 'selection' replacements, all of which had issues which were verified by authorized samsung technicians. I got tired of it and asked for my money back, I didnt purchase the phone with the intention of asking for a refund as my end game.

I find your choice of words a bit weird but yes I "feel" it is the best for its price range as of now along with the Lenovo A60

Samsung phones have lots of issues... Quality not good... tsk tsk tsk... It may be very enticing on manuals and reviews but they are not as good as they claim to be on actual user experience...

Who needs a quad-core when all your apps run smoothly on a dual core or a higher clocked single core? It will just drain my battery... Nice hype but futile!

Who needs a really really big screen but is very inconvenient when using it to answer a call just like a regular cellphone?

Phones nowadays are racing towards bigger screens, more cpus, but they forgot the essence of style... They have that same boring overall look and same UI that stayed the same from their older versions up to their latest flagships...

Overrated functionality which is not used on a daily basis anyway... and very fast releases of newer models every now and then kinda sucks... And we who are at the business end of their marketing plan catches the bait willingly... oh my...

You open with saying that Samsung has issues but the rest of your line actually says all brands have issues, every singe brand out there is gunning for a quadcore device aside from sony, based on the current architecture a quadcore actually consumes less power compared to dualcore and performs better, you may need to brush up on your google'ed information about ARM cpu's and how well they scale when transistor size is shrunk.

Everyone else is using a larger screen, a lot of manufacturers are already moving towards the 4.7" display category, only the fruit phone is left with its unsable 3.5" display. If your phone usage involves only answering calls then stay with a Nokia 3310, its still the perfect device up until now.

True, the device aesthetics lately has become moot which applies to all brands. Im sure you can come up with a better design, why not sell those designs to manufacturers

Overrated functionality or not, nobody is pointing a gun at your head forcing you to upgrade, your opinions are moot because you are basing it on your usage level and financial capacity.

    Cheers!

    EDIT:

Stay on topic, this is about andriod phones and price ranges and not the rant thread, if you want make an appropriate thread to do so.
