Ako rman tngali ani, ug akong pamilya pud. Mas mu prefer ko ug bigger fonts. Verdana man imo so murag wide font mana by default, pero gamay gihapon kaayo.
Mas sayon basahon, and mas mubasa ang tao. Dli jud mu pay attention ba.
Magazine/newspaper sites kai mugamit jud ug gamay na font kai daghan man kaayo ilang content, pero most of the magazine style sites (content cluttering) kai dli kaayo dko ug following compared to sites na limpyo (content focused).
2. Font
Sa akong na tun-an bro kai kung imong font kai walay ikog2x (arial, verdana, helvetica, etc) kai murag authority or information based imong content. Pero kung imong font kai naay ikog2x (georgia, times, ambot unsa pa kalimot nko) kai art/creativity/style ang iyang gi emphasize. Since dli news2x imong site, pag georgia nlang. Opinion ra.
3. Typography
Gubot kaayo imong typography tnawon, murag maski asa ra imong colors, links ug uban pa.
Example, ang knang words na "categories, bestsellers, new products for february, etc" kai light blue ilang color.
And links pud nimo kai light blue pud.
If blue imong links, dapat wala nkai lain blue na heading tags.
Sa psychology lang, mag huna2x ang reader na "blue text = link", and kung mu click sila sa blue words nimo na "new products for february" and dli nila ma click, maglibog na sila unsa ilang ma click, and unsa ang dli ma click.
general rule kai, one color for links, another color for base text, another color for headings. Pwede different shade of blue, like darker blue lang imong headings, and links kai light blue, and text kai black.
Or... black tanan text except blue.
If naa kai discount prices, or offers, etc, red gamita.. naay uban mu ingon na red = anger/virus/danger... sayop mana, red = action, similar sa orange, action gihapon ang mahuna2x sa brain ana. So kung mka kita ang tao ug red na color among sa imong blue-based website, ma attract dayon ilang mata padung sa red. Mao nice para mga discount and promo prices.
3. Placement
Imong "information" na section naa sa ubos. Ibutang na sa taas somewhere either sa main navigation or sa tass or ubos sa categories na section. Importante man gud na ang "About", "Contact Us", "Shipping and returns" etc...
Ang tao gnahan mka kbaw na if in case naay mahintabo, mka contact sila nimo. Or naa sila background about nimo. Phone number, email, contact form, etc.
4. Ads
I personally hate ads jud. Traffic leak raman na sila. Mu earn kag pennies in exchange for sales and loyal customer.
Best tool for starting a business. Make sure lang dli ka mag spam nila about every single product nimo.
Hope this helps.
