I don't know what it is about this suggestion that you don't understand. It doesn't matter that it comes from a Liberal senator, but are you seriously saying you don't "get" why a Chief Justice of the Supreme Court who used to work for PGMA should inhibit himself from a case? Lesser judges are asked to inhibit themselves for similar reasons.

And I can't believe you said De Lima should inhibit herself. What kind of logic is that? De Lima is with the DOJ (prosecution) of course she's already biased in favor of the State, that's part of her job! On the other hand, an SC justice has to be seen as totally impartial in any case before him.

I think you are letting your anti-noynoy mentality cloud your judgment. And this is coming from someone who is not really a noynoy fan...

If we apply Drillon's train of thought here, then all justices would inhibit themselves after a change of administration. Sorry, that's not how the SC works. You don't like it? Make it a point to amend the constitution.

Where in my post did I defend her curtailing the constitution? What I said is your analogy equating De Lima in the DOJ and Corona in the SC doesn't make sense because De Lima is supposed to be biased in favor of the state being the chief State Prosecutor, whereas Corona cannot be seen as being biased in favor of PGMA being a Chief Justice.

Did all the SC justices work for PGMA in the past? I don't think you even know what Drilon's train of thought is, because it seems you think Corona should inhibit himself just because he was appointed by her. That is not at all why he is being asked to inhibit himself. That's just common sense...

In my first post, until you came along, I've always discussed the topic. In your very first post and in every single one after that, you never discussed the topic not even once. That's why I called you a troll, you came in here to derail the thread and to make it about you and mud slinging match with the other posters, because that's what you always do and I'm sure the mods would see right away just reading your post history.
