It is not the deadline which you say is the problem -that's why I said "early settlers" because actually I wanted to pay it much earlier than the "real" deadline sometime within 1st quarter this year -2007. The problem is the inefficient system they are using in city Hall. And why I blame the administrators there? Because they are there already for too long but nothing has been done to improve it. And yes the availability of money is a factor. It's not that easy to prepare the budget during Christmas when it's not only the government you want to share with your fortune.

    example sa mga funny transaction:

i remember sa PRC pa renew.... teacher abot sa counter ni sulti "renew ko PRC" libog intawon ang naa sa counter...

sa NBI mo sulti "kuha ko NBI"

    sa BIR: "kuha kog BIR"

sa city hall: "pa compute ko"

Have you paid your real estate taxes lately in city hall? If so, then you must be the exception sa kadaghan sa mga tawo ngadto nga nagbagolbol kay dili efficient ang systema nga mo linya ka ug taas kaayo and you cannot attend to your personal needs kung ka-ihi-on o kalibangon kay if you break your queue, ug mo adto ka sa CR inig balik nimo adto na sad ka sa kina awahian. Sugod na sad ka sa last kay walay "priority numbers" nga ihatag ang city hell para sa mga magbayad sa ilang buhis.

However if you had not paid your taxes, ayaw pagpagarpar dire nga efficient na ang ilang systema kay you still had to experience it when you intend to pay your taxes soon. And I advice you ladies and gents to please pay your taxes as good citizens do ug aron maka tilaw sad mo ba sa akong naagi-an nga way paniudto di kapangihi, dili kapalit ug snacks bisan naa pay kuarta kay naka linya na god ka. Imo lang gub-on imong linya aron masapawan na sad ka?

bitaw, let's try to improve the system without necessarily spending too much. like in the case of budmenz, we really could use the priority number system so that taxpayer are not so burden lining up. of course, i know of other banks who would prefer that clients line up so that when its his turn, it's really his turn. with priority numbers, some people go outside or fails to hear their name being called out and when they approach the teller, it is as if he "inserted" himself to the queue and other clients complain and the cycle goes on.

but as always, the priority number is very effective and convenient to us. if you can't do that, then maybe the client can go directly to the teller and give his transactions there and wait for his name to be callled out... much like that of landbank's.

    Hi guys,

I have introduced a new City Ordinance entiled "AN ORDINANCE AUtHORIZING PAYMENTS AND FEES BY TAXPAYERS THROUGH OVER THE COUNTER PAYMENTS IN ACCREDITED BANKS, INTERNET BANKING AND TELLER MACHINES, AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASURER TO ACCEPT SUCH PAYMENTS AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF BUSINESS LICENSE OR PERMIT THROUGH ELECTRONIC MEANS, MODIFYING FOR THE PURPOSE THE CITY TAX ORDINANCE NO. LXIX, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE "REVISED OMNIBUS TAX ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CEBU"... which has already passed the first reading.

I hope with the availability of this service, ma minimize na ang kalisod sa taxpayers pagbayad ug buhis and hopefully, daghan na sad mobayad kay sayon naman lang ang process.

A Public Hearing on the above mentioned Ordinance is scheduled on Wednesday, Jan. 10 @ 3pm @ the Session Hall, any interested party may attend the said public hearing. See you.

    Maayo sad nga idea.
