mp3s, net and office dont matter much .. any basic pc will be enough for these tasks. but for gaming.. the faster processor the better. One way for you to decide is check out processor gaming benchmarks in tomshardware.com and buy the the fastest processor you can afford.

    go for 850mhz.
    thats a 300mhz difference. for a P3 that's a big deal already unlike a P4.

P3 550mhz with 512 cache (100 fsb) is a half speed L2 Cache, it utilizes half of the CPU speed (225mhz) only...please correct me if i'm wrong.

    P3 850mhz with 256 cache (100 fsb) is a full speed L2 = faster

    -asay mas kusog sa duha?

    P3 850mhz with 256 cache (100 fsb)
    or
    P3 550mhz with 512 cache (100 fsb)
    mas kusog na ang
    P3 850mhz with 256 cache (100 fsb)

MHz stands for the speed of the CPU(mas tass MHz mas paspas performance)

cache is a smaller, faster memory which stores copies of the data from the most frequently used main memory locations( mas tass ug cache mas paspas seek time)

FBS of Front side bus is the operating at a frequency of the cpu (mas taas FBS mas kusog frequency)

mas kusog ang cache kung ang basihan ang real time loading or visual performance pero kung gamitan nimo benchmarks mas kusug ang Mhz
