i have the 24-105 I have compared both lens, mas sharp ang 24-105 compared sa 24-70 specially at f/4, advantage sa 24-70 is the 2.8 which is good, i prefer the 24-105 because im a strobist shooter, strobist set up starts f/4 onwards , i have primes for ambient lighting naman

agree get the 135 f2 L hands down ko ani na lens

Image Quality does not focus on sharpness only. Apil napud ana ang contrast, distortion, vignetting, flare handling, etc.

Yes, pwede ra sa crop sensor ang either EF or EF-S lenses. If full frame ka, dili na pwede ang EF-S kay mabangga na xa sa kanang mirror box (hence, kanang rubber sa lubot sa mga EF-S lenses, safety precaution na xa.)... although pwede mogamit ug special adapter or extension tube para ma-mount ang EF-S though naa pud consequences (like no AF or maybe no focusing to infinity, not sure though).

regarding contrast, distortion, vignetting, flare handling there are not far apart, its true 24-105 is more prone to vignetting than the 24-70 on a FULL frame on a crop its NOT, you guys where talking about sharpness, thats why i commented about it

@TS the wow factor you get in 24-70 is the bokeh using ambient lighting

sa TS, kabantay ko, way gamit ang 24-70 cuz that lens is the equivalent of the 17-55 zoom range on a FF body. Since the TS is using a crop body, and he also has a 17-50, it would be best if he got something that zooms closer, or an UWA if he's a landscape shooter. Based sa iya post, I think he's more interested in people so yeah, I recommend the 135mm f/2L. pero if ako, for portraits, i'd get the 50 f/1.4 or 35 f/2 para dli mahal. as usual, naa ra na sa photographer mu produce ug quality pictures, not necessarily the camera or lens, but hell. they help.

Yeah, according to Fafa Dex, you can't have a bokeh of the 85mm in your 18-55mm :P

Need baya ka mag-post process if you shoot in RAW (fyi, you need to shoot in RAW if you plan to join the Sinulog Photo Contest).

Ok ra ang 70-200 f/4.0 IS... pero try daw if ma-stretch nimo imong budget to 70-200mm f/2.8 IS (maskin dili MkII).
