Default Re: Mindanao Power Situation - from Poor to Very Poor

I'd like to think Mindanao has real good potential though. think lang kung unsa ang capacity sa Mindanao kung sakto lang ang mga infrastructure and security. i think dako kaayo na nga boost sa industrial output sa Pilipinas. It's a predominantly untapped nga resource.

It's too unfair for the people of Mindanao to suffer such irresponsible reporting by the media. Unfavorable peace and order situation is only limited to a few municipalities. And concerning the power situation, we have adequate power supply here though it is projected that by 2014 there will be a shortage if nothing is done.

Media must realize that they should be responsible enough with their reporting.

They're just making money out of Mindanao's name.

mao pud lagi ni naka bati tuod sa atong media kay i present in a way nga generalized pud nga "mindanao" og syempre ang mga tawo pud nga way idea about mindanao ma generalized jud...

to be honest, specific areas ra jud na ang gubot sa mindanao... pero unfair jud tuod kay ma generalize man so majority na hinuon d maka tilaw og investments...

southern mindanao particularly metro davao area (digos - davao - panabo - tagum) is relatively safe and peaceful...

way back years ago i visited Iligan, i was wondering why na wala man big dept store? but naa cla Gaisano pero gamay ra jud kaayo, so i ask my officemate na did2 na assign the reason why is that di daw mu sugot ang mga small businessman(kana cguro naa sa mercado) na taga did2 kay ma wad-an cla ug negosyo... di jud mu lambo ang economy, nya pun-an pa jud sa issue ana peace and order, gi ingan gud mi na di mg suroy2x kung gabie na... mga between 1997 - 1999 ko naka ad2 did2.

mao wala jud kaayo mu invest sa power industry kay medyo low man ang demand in my own opinion lng na.

    dili ni confirmed,

pero ang nakadugang sa problem sa power problem is that

    - private power supply : during sa power shortage sa metro cities (daw), nag outsource of mga power producing individual.. naka contrata ni, since mostly deisel powered, mas mahal.... but if mag increase ang NPC (before pa kay transco na daw ni ron) dili pwede kay need pa ug approval sa ERB, so gi subsidized sa government ang gasto... ex. if private power price is PhP5/KHW sold to public by NPC by PhP3/KWH... medyo lugi, so, para at least maka-menus gasto daw, gi-contract na lang. ex. If less or equal to 500KWH ang maconsume nga power from a certain private supplier, fixed price ra... but.. na resolved naman ang power shortage, sakto na ang supply, naka time frame pa man ang contract... so, nagbayad gihapon ang NPC sa 500KWH, magamit man o dili.

    - transmission cost -maintenance which is if pirme gansi ang governo permi + if ang generation cost is minimal, ang dako nga gasto sa kurente is ang transmission (which is private producers using the government line for free), so, if mopalit ka sa private market, apil bayad ang power lost via transmission... apilan pa sa bomba2x

    - naa pud dula ang electricity market, mura na siya ug stock exchange, game na sa private producers ug sa mga electric distributors.

    sa motoo lang
