Vaccination on infants - safe? Or hazardous?

This also boggled me so much... How come infants were so healthy even without these vaccines back in the days?

Are you aware that the infant mortality rate has dramatically dropped since the beginning of the 20th century due in part to vaccinations, better hygiene and other scientific breakthroughs?
