he government just sipmly cannot limit the prople going abroad..It would be unconstitutional. You cant tell a man who wants to go abroad to have a decent living for his family not to go. These people are not going abroad for the philippines. They are going for ther family. to give them a good life and a better future. We may have the best and educated workforce in asia if not the whole world but our country don't have enought jobs avialable. Abroad better pay, better benefits and better life...We have the right to live a decent and secure life. If not here then go abroad.

i think it would benefit the country. kay ang mga overseas workers mo-send man ug money diri sa ilang loved ones.

I believe it is our fault for the vicious cycle of middle class migration. If it were up to me i would force all Filipinos currently overseas to come back after 20 years, but alas that isnt my call so the best alternative solution would be to temporarily make permanently leaving the country illegal, at lest for 20 years until we are able to rebuild this country. i dont feel any satisfaction in improving my personal worthless life while i have family in the PI living the same lives they were before I left. Instead of giving them all money to buy their own houses instead of living in my apartments in Cainta Rizal... i prefer to think big and more long term. You cannot rebuild a nation if your educated population consistantly cowar away to other countries
then it will be forfeiting the very essence of democracy..

i believe these individuals were basically driven out with the desire to give their loveones a brighter future.. afterall family should be of paramount concern..Â* long-range planning perhaps have lead even those who purports to be self-sufficient individuals working here to migrate abroad..

as the saying goes.. before we help others, we should learn to help ourselves first..

It is somewhat different in Mexico where the poor are the ones leaving to America en masse. Should the government make it much more difficult for people to leave the the PI? The Philippines cannot continue to educate its population for the benfit of other countries.
there is also the recognized "brain drain" in most industries because most "smarter" people go to work in call centers instead of getting middle to high positions in other industries because call centers pay higher. the government cannot regulate that.

dili dapat ilimit kay kanang mga mo abroad magpadala mana ug kwarta regardless if nagwork ra or ni migrate. then kanang gipadala sa mga overseas nga mga pinoy kay makatabang mana sa economiya.

I'm against putting any limits on the pursuit of a better life and or of greener pastures. "Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country" is not an absolute truth. If you're having a hard time looking for a better life in your own country, you should be free to seek it elsewhere.

Unless this is North Korea, then I'm mistaken.

I don't know why brain drain do occur,
I think perhaps the civil engineers that we produce was only offered
a mere construction job when he graduated, a similar innuendo to the rest
    of the Filipino professional fields.

The solution is to create better opportunities here so people wont have to go abroad.

Government should not rely on OFW remittances and should make the correct investments.
