Now, would u say we were ready for major changes , lessen jeepneys , hence less stoppage in a No stopping area although how do we allocate these drivers to have jobs , I think that is one main problem since our roads aren't getting any bigger , with more cars, PUJ's etc ...

Another interesting conversation I had was the resistance to change, people don't like to change what they are used to

we cannot lessen the jeepneys, let them lessen their own. My idea is that, I know the jeepney driver is trying to win his bread everyday. Why don't the government employ him in a transportation sector or make use of him if he will get jobless.

Jeepney operators will be the one effected, but note that jeepney operators are earning more than the driver had, and that is not a fair share. My idea towards this is to let the government use their jeeps and just give them their fair share.

We must adapt the changes...as the theory of Charles Darwin states, "The theory of Adaptation", then I may say, "Adapt or die!"

    Educate CITOM enforcers.
Dapat strikto ni sila, dili madala ug hudlat...kanang mo violate gani sa traffic rules dakop gyud dayon.
Kadagahanan ana nila, if kaila, paryente, abogado, taga gobyerno ang ni violate, mahadlok man modakop.

Common causes sa traffic jam or slow downs...
    - swerving. kanang solid white line on same lane, daghan kaayo wala kasabut unsa na. Hasta ang CITOM wala kasabut ana kay daghan sakyanan mo switch ug lane, crossing solid white lines dili dakpon tabangan pa hinuon ug guide asa mo-agi hahaha.
    - loading and unloading of passengers.
    - intentional slowing down of vehicle at intersection to wait for the STOP signal.
    - intentional slowing down of vehicle at intersection to wait for passengers.
    - left lane must turn left or right lane must turn right....wala gihapon kasabut ang CITOM ani. dili man modakop ug mga vehicles nga mo turn right gkan sa left lane (crossing solid white) or dili dakpon ang vehicles nga not on the left lane pero mo turn left.
    - illegal terminals. Ang karsada himoong terminal sa mga jeepney o public transports....kana bang dugay molarga kay manawag pa ug pasahero, bisan ug kahibalo mobasa ang mga pasahero, pangutan-on gyud ug SM ka? hahaha

maybe not as "outside of the box" but to me this is certainly what is required. it's been proven in many major cities in the world, a combination of efficient bus transit and a railway system will do the trick. it's the implementation that's tricky

in the philippines, you're only as fast as the trisikad in front of you. you are at the mercy of the jeepney drivers who slows down at the traffic light long before the red lights goes on anticipating the crossing of potential passengers (e.g. lahug jeepneys at robi intersection) or lingers long after the green light is on still calling on passengers (01K jeepneys at sm). this system is broken and cannot be fixed. it has no place in a city that tries to emulate hongkong, taipei or singapore. we only tolerate this because we have no alternative.

ang pinoy di anad magbaktas, they want to have convenient mode of transportation which we think to be convenient but not.

in japan (osaka), mrt stations has almost 1km gap from each station to another station, there are no means of transportation but to walk, seldom have buses. so no choice maglakaw jud ka, mao nga gamay ra ang mga tambok sa ilaha. ug ang trapik, almost negligible ky han-ay ang dagan sa mga sakyanan.

in thailand (bangkok),they have also mrt in the city lang, ang mode of transpo is bus or taxi. congested sad kaau ang trapik sa ilaha.

another idea is this...impose a toll fee for every main street...let's say, street A and B and destination is point Z...if you're going to point Z, then you want to take street A pero trapik kaau ang point A, so impose a toll fee of 20, then impose a toll fee of 10 for street B ky di mn kaau congested para daghang mangagi. Then, if same street have the same situation then make the toll fee at 15. In this way, na regulate nimo ang trapik, naka ginancya pa ang ciudad...(maayo lang ug mopadung sa saktong lugar ang ginancya)
