BTW, you may also check out PHATCH, a batch processor for photographs.

I used phatch before I used Darktable, and for a long time mao ra akong gigamit, hehe. Then karon akong gamit na lang niya is batch processing snapshots like those party shots.

Here's a video showing how you can duplicate Lightroom adjustments in Darktable:

    darktable + gimp for linux!

haven't used darktable pero it's one of those apps I was looking into (alternate for lightroom)... gimp is okay pero needs time to get used to...

    --------------

for now, I'm also switching from natty to win7 like arisarnado, cause some of my hardware I need for editing wa man support for linux

ang na bantayan nako is mo stretch ang picture pag view sa linux pero sa windows normal ra man.. hmmm...

There's now a better Lightroom alternative for Linux systems, although it's not free and open source.

    Corel Aftershot Pro

I'm still trying to get the feel of Corel Aftershot Pro. Medyo clunky for me ang layout, but as far as features go I can say nga it's a definite improvement over Darktable. It's also quite fast and not much of a memory hog. Will continue using it and give more objective feedback once the 30-day trial ends.

Also, I finally have XnView installed, although beta version pa. Will be replacing Geeqie with this as my image viewer and organizer. Yey! ^_^

I'm also testing CinePaint 0.25-0, which some say is nearer to PS than GIMP. More observations on this later...
