-t'was I think between UFC 4 - 7; When Steve Jenum (MMA) sqaures off a Light heavyweight aspiring Pro-Boxer. The result? The boxer did not even connect a Head shot & the Boxer goes for a clinch then Steve Jenum made a common Textbook Jui-Jitsu move (Hip Thow) & that was it Folks! It was Ground & Pound & an Armbar Finisher.

u2october 4, bro, cge pagbutang ug pictures, ingna pud imo trainer na pagtinud.aray, let say kung modouble leg takedown ka pwede ka i.uppercut kung makuha nmo sya, pwede ka sumbagon sa ribs or kidney ba,sumbag nga sumbag jud, using mma gloves, we want to see if u can take the blow,or can have a good follow up, n hu wil last or win. pls dont think otherwise, we just want to know the reality, safety first bro, kung mada contender nmo,ka match ba,kanang fight na fight jud,tnx a lot. n the boxer will rely to his instinct sa takedown, clinch, mma, etc.

    IMO
maurice smith who is known to be a good kickboxer and not for takedown skills beat "the hammer" coleman who is a very good wrestler. in takedowns, what maurice did was to defend himself and do short punches. the result, coleman exhausted himself. all tyson needs to do against vitor belford is to have basic wrestling or jujitsu lessons and imo, that would be enough to make him defend himself in takedowns. and it could be done in few months of training. and remember, a boxer trains harder than a mma figher. he got superior strength than belford and a young tyson has great speed same as belford. if you think that punches of mike tyson during clinches is not powerful, try watching his fights during his prime and you can see that his punches are still very powerful even if its not done in full swing. i also dont think that belford could block tysons punches because blocking an ungloved punch from tyson is already very painful may break the bones in your arms. i will only change my mind that mma fighter is superior to a boxer in a street brawl if a good boxer who at least belong to the top 10 of his weight class will be convincingly beaten by a mma fighter. but i still dont see that happening now

guys for your info lang ha.. i agree on u2october, and he knows what he is talking about.. because he himself is a sport fighter.was it "only the strong" or "Ground and Pound" ba to bro nga you 'fought' ?

ed168, its not easy to do uppercuts just like that. unless its pure boxing.

maurice smith vs mark coleman was very 'special' because maurice is a kickboxer! not a boxer.

chocomai, uv got a point, i respect u2october,because he is a fighter, i also train some martial arts but not as good as him na pangfight na,hope he'll post often so that we can picture the reality. boxing is a very fast sports, let say if gracie dive for a grapple, a counter straight punch or uppercut from tyson or pacquiao, is dangerous, abtik kaau ang boxer gud, maytag kausa lng mosumbag..

iv seen sa national geographic channel na g.measure ang fist sa mga different martial arts, a heavy weight boxer is 993 lbs.!! ang running double leg flying kick sa kungfu master is i think 700 lbs, im not sure..imagine the impact, mura daw na syag sledge hammer gbunal sa imo ulo ingon ang physicists sa ngc, how much more slang tyson, klitchko, mga champions pila kaha ila?? ba.c ilang jab mga 400 lbs ang force, kusog ghapn, or a chip hit sa kilid mga 300 lbs..n gracie will absorb that force considering wla sya maanad compared to boxers, i think it will slow him.

bros sa timezone ayala ba, naay mosukod dg2 ug kumo in lbs, mahambog nana ko kung masobra ug 100 lbs hehe, straight 1 hand, bros, junior bantamweight rako, tapulan, sabta ninyo kung hinay hehe..

sa street fight i think fist is reliable kay dali ra ka makabalik sa position ingkaso dli maigo imong contra, naa sad ka sa position namakalihay or makadagan n kung makachamba ka, tulog jud imo contra, but if u play like a grappler,ul dive ur opponent hoping to catch its hip or legs, nakalihay, naa nka sa dangerous position.. kung naka timing ka na kargador imo contra or porter sa pier, pirting kusgana, its quiet hard to do grappling n kung gang attack??, naay tremendous physical contact lisud sad mo eskapo..i thnk dehado ang grappler sa multiple attack compared to boxer sa street,

mga bros im trying to apply the situation to us, whats the best martial art we'll b applying incase na mapeligro to sa street, shall we FIRST rely sa boxing skills na2 or grappling, jiujitsu, kicking?? wats the most reliable skill?? tnx a lot bros!!

Mas daghan ang money sa boxing coz its been around for decades. MMA is still in its first decade. So it is evolving, Mag fighter sauna usa ra ang discipilne, karon mga multi-skilled na .

But in the future this will become the ultimate sport. imagine an athlete versed in jujitsu, wresling and boxing rolled into one.
