and forums. and i already read tons of SEO article, posts, pdf blueprints wich are publictly distributed or paid.

Just make things short, despite of having all this experience and knowledge about SEO methods.
Im a believer of Long term Quality backlinks on creating a consistent traffic generation machine.
Rather than having a short term fluctuation effect that might just end up getting your backlink flushed out in the long run.

^i dont think that technique is really effective, what you need is a 3 way link exchange, if your friend's site is not a popular one your site might be dragged down as well in terms of seo. its the number of quality sites that link to your blog/site.
