From U.S, Australia and it's other territories except perhaps for Malaysia and Singapore, yet Latin American countries and the Philippines are now emerging strong from the crisis and are performing better than former British colonies.

i think it has something to do with the discipline of the citizens. germany which was ravaged during world war 2 stood up on its own and is one of the best economies in the world today. japan which also felt the full blunt of the war has risen from those ashes. ang istilo sa mga spanish like mañana habit and siestas in the afternoon maoy nakapauwahi nato samtang sa ubang nasod nagpadayun ug kayod.

we filipinos are very lazy for a good cause. we get too much freedom and we tend to abuse it. gamay lang bati lihok sa gobyerno, rally dayun. discipline taught in schools should have been upheld. simple rules and regulations we cant even follow. no jaywalking, labang ghapon. naay skywalk, adto ghapon labang sa ubos. kung maligsan, drayber pay pasanginlan. malata-di malata sa basura taka ghapon ug labay. these things are very simple yet we are very hard headed to follow them. sobra na jud kagahi ug ulo ang pinoy.

and i think angay na nga naay mubunal nato para matarong ta. a government thats so strict and firm nga matagam jud ta. i dont care how thats gonna be but i think think its the only way we get straight. some people try to instill discipline to themselves but only a handful of them and rotten apples are everywhere thus making those good ones rot too.

I don't think its the religion. Its the people's attitude and discipline jud. But its not the case in the Philippines, where the separation of church and state is a GRAVE CRIME.
