its not important if people will easily memorize it or not, if they find it important they're just gonna bookmark it or give the effort to memorize it.

plus, google doesnt memorize domain names. since your site is into travel you have got to use keywords to make it on top, daghan na baya kaayo competensya and if you use social network type names mas lisod na.

people search for keywords on google not websites. try searching "philippine travel guide" and look at the sites on the first page

i appreciate your suggestion, but i am also putting myself into my visitor's shoes. If i will not use easy words, then probably, they will just forget or ignore the site. Not all people use bookmark function also easy words can easily be pulled out by search engines. yeah google cannot memorize domain names but website names which are search-engine friendly meaning search-able are most likely to be on the front page. Well, thanks for the suggestion i may consider it as well....

as what my hubby taught me, no matter how great your domain name is, if wala nay SEO, di jud na makita sa Google unless i-type diretso ang website address in the address bar. kung unsa man gani imo mapilian nga domain name, i-optimize lang jud. (alt tags, backlinks, etc.) mabuhat man ni nato bisan dili ta techinical practitioners.

bisag 5 letters imo domain pero walay SEO, malubong ra na compared sa 20 letters nga domain name nga gi.optimize...

walay pulos ang website nga wala na.index sa search engines, gawas kung daghan ka ug backlinks or nag.advertise ka sa imo website...

dapat ma.ilhan imo site ni Mr. Google...

thanks for the advice, but please do understand nah nagstatr pa ko, hinay2x lang sah tah.. start with domain sah, and yeah im planning to optimize my site puhon.. need to plan everything and do the math kay murag kelangan jud ni budget for maintenance hehe..thanks a lot guys..

additional unsolicited suggestion lang maam:
** aron dili kaayo dako imo budget, ang domain name ra ang bayari. mga $10-$12 na kung dot com or dot net.
** ayaw usa kuha og paid hosting kay mao na ang daku og kaon. try the free hosting sites like blogger, wordpress etc. then fttp publish to your custom domain name.

sumada total - at most $12 ra imo gasto sa imo website per year!

wala man pod koy budget sa ako mga websites. so domain name ra ang gibayaran sa ako hubby. hosting is free under google's blogger.
