    okay, ato suwayan ha....

    e.g.:
    50,000 (accumulated earnings from Jan to June) / 6 months = 8,333.33

50,000 (accumulated earnings from Jan to June) / 12 pay periods = 4,166.66

mao ra ba ang resulta? murag dili man...

ang ako man gud point diri kay instead idivide ug 6 months, ila gihimu ug 12 pay periods... even though 12 pay periods is equivalent to 6 months, if you do the computation, lau ra kau...
    Kung in ani pag compute
50,000 (accumulated earnings from Jan to June) / 6 months = 8,333.33 -> means 1 moth salary jud imu nakuha (14th month)
    pero kung in ani
50,000 (accumulated earnings from Jan to June) / 12 pay periods = 4,166.66 -> half ra sa 13th month imu nakuha
Kung accumulated earnings na, apil ang OT/allowances ana? sa ako nahibaw-an kay base na sa basic pay nimu, walay apil ang OT and allowances...

accumulated earnings (wala na labot ang OT pay kay la man mi OT pay and allowances...) mao na jud ni ang ako na earn gkan January to June, minus na na sa absences and lates... situational ra na ang 50K ha...

anyway, naa ko pangutana... sakto ba ni pgkacompute amu mid year bonus or half sa 13th month

accumulated earnings from January to June / 12 pay periods (instead of 6 months) = mid year bonus...

    sakto ba ni
    murag sakto ni nga formula.

    example:

10,000 imo monthly. so, in 6 months, you have 60,000. so the formula, 60,000 / 12 = 5,000 mid year bonus.

kung way mid-year, bali 1 month jud imo 13th month inig year-end, then it's 10,000.

kung i-divide nimo ug 6 (tungod kay 6 months ra) and mo gawas kay 10,000 which is already equivalent to your 1 full 13th month pay.

I think the formula above is correct.

if sakto nga idivide by pay periods (instead of by months) then that would mean that if you compute for the full 13th month pay, taking into consideration that you are receiving 10K per month, would be:

    10,000*12 months=120,000

    120,000/24 pay periods=5,000

ayaw liboga imo huna-huna, ang 13th month pay is equivalent to 1 month of your basic salary (basic lang, not including allowance, COLA, etc)...so kung mid year bonus, katunga sa imo 13th month pay or 1 month basic salary...

    example:
    Basic Salary is 20,000
Half of that would be 10,000, mao ni dapat makuha nimo sa mid year bonus...

in terms sa computation basing on 6 months: (6/12) * (20,000) = 10,000 ; where 6 = no. of months accrued (Jan. to June), 12 = total no. of months to be accrued for full 13th month pay, 20,000 = basic monthly salary

in terms of pay periods: (12/24) * (20,000) = 10,000 ; where 12 = no. of pay periods accrued (Jan. to June, 2 pay periods per month), 24 = total no. of pay periods to be accrued for full 13th month pay...

    Understand?

To compute the 13th Month Pay:

(Basic Monthly Pay) ÷ 12 * (Number of Months worked within the Calendar Year)
