I'm much more interested in Fireflies breeding i love watching them in the night

wala tuod ko kita ug dragonflies sa cebu na.. except sa mga probinsya2x.. needless to say na mo dwell ra pod ni cla sa mga lugar na daghang mga tanom2x or grass.

How about planting marigold and neem tree which are natural insect repellents?

hmmm.. are they really effective? i've read some contradicting views online.. just like those citronella. the plant itself won't do any good.. you have to extract oil from it and apply them as repellants..

hay paet nihit na dyud kaayo ang dragonfly, also the GIANT grasshopper nga manakop ko sauna sa DOH duol sa CAP diha sa jones katong bagyong rupeng pa.

corak! giant grasshopper ey? ehhehe.. locust na na.. at times dre sa amo, naay big green locusts.. maoy tigkaon sa mga tanum sa garden.. besides the snails..

yep.. im planning to make a mini pond.. hope it can attract dragonflies. we used to have mini ponds, then u can see the nymphs underwater... pero mas nindot jud ang big fishpond.. way back sa 80's dra sa old lahug airport. the PC training center.. my dad made 2 big fishponds in the open field. there were lots and lots of dragonflies and damselflies.. along with frogs.. daghan tadpoles, nymphs og fishes sa pond.. it was one of the highlights in childhood capturing those damselflies.. not the dragonflies, they bite.lolz.

once in a blue moon. makakita kog dragonfly nasaag dre sa amo backyard.. then last sunday sa st.therese church.. there was one dragonfly hovering and flying inside the church lobby.. hihihihi

thanks. no harm in trying.. coz it won't be easy. you could have the biggest pond out there, but without any dragonflies around... then it would still be a failure.. maybe if not dragonflies breeding on the pond.. frogs would be another welcomed visitor.. hehe
