The use of ginger to treat skin hypopigmentation:

please check it out. i hope it will work. Please do share sa inyo kaila nga naa sad ing-ina. it's better than nothing dba? heheh! i will start an experiment on this and will update if mowork ba ni nko.

yey! naa jud hope sa wakas!!!

i don't think it will work, i mean, vitiligo is not something with hypopigmentation issues, rather, a depigmentation (if that is entirely different). anyway, i have patients with the same problem. and so far there is no cure. i don't mean to turn your hopes down, but what you don't know might hurt you. careful lang sa ginger, kay basin irritating sa skin and it may worsen or cause another skin problem.

thanks sa concern sis but i will still try this. i have read a lot of successful repigmentation using ginger. i hope someday i can share my success story.

i don't think ginger is harmful to my skin. i just tried rubbing ginger on my spots and observed that my hands became smoother as exposed to ginger juices during the application. i think ginger is boon to the skin rather than bane.

in addition, it is still a mystery why the cells on the skin stop producing melanin. in my case, i believe that i still have working melanocytes since all of the little hairs surrounding the affected part are still pigmented. upon further research, i found that ginger has "essential ingredient that triggers the melanocytes that are not working under the skin, to react and mimic their neighbouring cells". Ginger had been used in ancient times to treat hypopigmented scars. i don't think the philosophy behind it is entirely different for vitiligo.

and yes, i also experienced repigmentation especially on small spots even without doing anything. so, i am still very hopeful that this will work. wish me luck.
