X79 requires a new processor(lga2011), since it has a new socket.
and from what i read X79 processors aka Ivy-Sandy Bridge processors are going to be more expensive than sandy bridge(1155)

    The Sandy Bridge-E Lineup
Family Core i7 Extreme Core i7 Core i7
    Core/Thread Count 6/12 6/12 4/8
    Frequency 3.3GHz 3.2GHz 3.6GHz
    Max SC Turbo 3.9GHz 3.8GHz 3.9GHz
    L3 Cache 15MB 12MB 10MB
Overclocking Fully unlocked Fully unlocked Limited unlock
    Estimated Prices $1200 $999 $700
Looks like the X79+Ivy can rape the Sandy.
this is the normal trend of technology specially intel.

Rape?? No not really as IB is a die shrink with some improvements, the raping usually happens on the next generation.

So why are the Z68 owners sorry?

I cant tell if your really serious is just trolling.

Kay mag upgrade nasad ang z68 owners.

    X series a die shrink?
I think the P series or sandy bridge is more of a die shrink.

new X series is more likely to be the next gen.

Theres always new technology coming out every 6-8 months, this is the trend since day 1.. nothing new.. no one is forcing the Z68 owners to upgrade.

I can see that your utterly confused.
X series is what Intel calls Extreme Performance or for the Enthusiast market while P series is the plain Performance model, dont confuse the chipsets with the actual CPU architecture.

You cant say "P series or Sandy Bridge" since its a processor and a chipset compared.

Sandy Bridge is the codename for a 2nd generation processor microarchitecture developed by Intel. Targeting the 32 nm process

No, not really unless you consider PCIe 3.0 to be "that much of a next generation" chipsets these days on Intel's side only provide signal routing for the PCIe lanes and also provide a few lanes since the MC is already inside the CPU.

You really need to fix this broken knowledge of yours or just stop trolling.
