Netbooks are great of portability and on the spot quick check of email, surf, chat, or documents. But I would advice against using it as your primary computer. As what the others said, the small screen, small fonts, and the cramped keys, after a few days; you'd be wishing you'd gone with a decent laptop. Trust me, I've been there. I exchanged my netbook for a laptop. Can't stand the numbness after a couple of hours typing away at that cramped keyboard.. hehe

Naa naman ko desktop dire but kusog lagi mukaon ug kuryente, mao nidecide pud ko nga mupalit ug netbook to lessen my electricity bills and for convenience pud.

pili, lesser electricity bills or an eye operation/treatment in the long run... its ur choice...

Konsenxa man pud ta ani oi. Okay raman ang desktop ky mao man akong gamit karon. But in case kung magtravel ko like muuli ko sa province or mag out of town, wala koy magamit.

ok ra man gihapon mopalit ka ug netbook. kay if naa ka balay desktop imo gamiton. if molakaw ka netbook sa sad imo gamiton.

i also have the asus1015pem, i only use in if molakaw ko, brown out and also for servicing.
when i'm at home i use my desktop. as long as you use lcd monitor dili man cya kalas ug kuryente.

Naa ko ani bai,. aq kay 1 month wala g.off!!! except if mag brownout, ky cge download ug movies sayang ang net if pagngon... g.confiscate ako desktop sa ako parents cuz im addicted to games!!! haha, Depende na sa imong applications gigamit, kung type2 encode2 lang ok ra kaayo na, dli kaayo na mu init.. Mu off ra na ug kalit if init na jd kaayo to protect sa damage sa overheat, anha nmo papahuwayon...

sir naa man mga laptops na 14 inch above na 25k or less. suroy2 lang sa mga suking tindahan.. sakto man jud ni sila, huna2a imo mata..

Mao nalang ni akong buhaton cguro sir ky nagthink pud ko nga if mupalit ko ug netbook then mao na akong ifull time use sa akong work, wala nay gamit akong desktop, except kng ganahan ko magduwa, mao ra. So siguro mao nalang jud ni akong buhaton. Okay ra man kaha ni nga brand boss?

dili man kaayo dako kaon ang pc (except you got a very expensive high end setup) nvidia card/s kana kusog jud ang kaon.

But if you are using normal operation (if you ddnt disable the speed step), vc (stock) then desktop pc eats less electricity vs the mid range to uber spec'ed (with 45-70% OC settings)

1.) You will lessen the lifespan of the netbook. (my aging aspire4530 battery life is less than 15mins used 8-10hrs a day for the past 3yrs++)

2.) Desktop are meant to run 10-12hrs or more (my asus commando is still alive and kicking 24/7 since 2007 (torrent rig, son's web/game, htpc)

but if you really need to have a mobile desktop then just buy the laptop cooler (not cdrking types) TT, SS, CM

and if you need to skimp on the power consumption (just plug your monitor+kb+mouse on the netbook)
