usb 2.0 is so far the fastest in terms of data transfer. i am using an external hard disk for my computer, 80 gb for my graphics resources. i purchased the usb-to-ide interface at cd-r king @ 400 pesos. so far its good, but i would suggest you buy the housing which cost 900 pesos to protect ur harddisk.

the good thing with usb-to-ide interface is that u can also use it on cd-roms, writers and dvd drives

using Asus and matrix casing. 400 gigs and 200 gigs. I do have the fujitsu 40 gigs but it messed up 4 times already using matrix casing (imagine replacing it that much). So now i stick with the 3.5 casing and its reliable. not handy but carries all my stuff
