    get the dslr
taas ug learning curve para dugay ka mapul-an ug
    "timpla2x" sa imong shots.
that is if you are willing to spend huge amount of cash and you
    don't mind the weight.

the spending doesn't end once you purchase your camera...
it's just the beginning... (murag horror movie)

welcome dayon to the "skyflakes club"

nikkicoke, a Nikon dslr with a kit lens and a real macro lens will answer what you wanted. D5000 is an advantage on near ground level macro photography with it's rotating LCD. Di na kinahanglan ug angle viewfinder when doing macro kay ma rotate man ang LCD. Di pud kaayo mahal so naa pa kay extra money for the macro lens.

HAHAHAHA!!! Skyflakes. That is a good one guys. Very true gyud na sya. Sugod sa sa mga tag 10K na lens and accessories, then up to the 20s and 30ts, then up to the tag 40-60T finally sa tag 100T.

Truly not for the faint of heart and shallow pocket. hehe. Skyflakes na gyud or maybe pig-pie.

If you are bent on the DSLR - first decide which photo characteristic you like. Pour over Flicker to see examples of lots and lots of fotos (note: fotos taken with the lens that you can afford). Also test the lab shots at DPreview, Image resource and cameralabs.

IMHO (observation) Nikon seems to be generally warm (golden) and canon cold (blueish white). Not necessarily a fast and hard rule, just a general observation. Have to clarify para dili mag lalis diri. hehe.

At the end of the day, you need to get the equipment based on the Genre of photography that you intend to pursue. Otherwise padulong gyud sa G.A.S. and Skyflakes. hehe.

Remember, the best of the journalists most of the time use a basic body and a 35mm or 50mm prime.

At the risk of sounding redundant, I suggest learn photography tech first before worrying about the gear.
