The Tab 7 does without any problems so it should also run. Curious though is the ommission of sd card compatibility found in the 7 inch

I got one right now, but it's still running stock android, i'm using a 3rd party player for mkv files.

An update that will include TouchizUX should bring Samsung's own player that plays almost all video formats seamlessly (like on my Galaxy S II). It's still on it's way, so prolly a month or so until the update.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 & 10.1 Prices

We got some un-official information about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 P7500 and the Galaxy Tab 8.9 — we got the tentative release date and suggested retail price of both Samsung tablets that’s coming this August.

Expected release date: 2nd week of August 2011
Expected retail price: Php33,999

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 3G
Expected release date: 4th week of August 2011
Expected retail price: Php26,999 (16GB) & Php30,999 (32GB)

They’re a little bit on the expensive end but since they’re all 3G models, it’s priced competitively against the iPad 2. No word if a WiFi-only models will also be released at the same time.
