As a former USJ-R BSC, kani ra ako ma sulti, daghan ug benefits ka ma kuha sa scouting. It teaches you how to rely on your own wits, initiatives, resourcefulness, and leadership among others. In other words it helps you not become a cry baby later on in life! If you have a health condition you can always get exempted and be in the faggot troop. Heck, during our time, even the effeminates of our batch are having a blast during scouting.

Looks like kids these days are just a bunch of pampered-a$$ whiners! At least early on, we know whose brains will be eaten first in the upcoming zombie apocalypse!

This activity forced me to move to another school. I used to study at USJ-R High way back in the late 90's.

Scouting and other form of quasi-military activities (incorporated in schools) don't interest me at all. I'd rather spend my time reading books than doing the "marching thing." I'd like to emphasize that creating fire was done out of human curiosity and need as well. We all can do that. They teach us to do that (i.e. creating fire) so just in case in a worst case scenario whenever China invades the Philippines and so people flee to mountains and start the archaic way of survival. I appreciate the fact that you appreciate what you've done but as for me, I really didn't like it, seriously. I'm just happy enough that I live in this free country, yet, dominated by bureaucrats and corrupt officials.
