if you experience any of the symptoms below, then it is a sign your HDD is failing:

try doing a chkdsk on your drive and check if you got bad sectors. If you have bad sectors..try doing a zero-fill on your drive(you can usually download these tools from the HDD manufacturer). If later you still get the same symptoms and chkdsk says you got bad sectors.. you need to save for a new drive.

ok bro..try boot og safe mode,,din observe kung dili ba mg restart,,kung mg restart,,try ilis ug power supply,,kay usahay ang power supply maka hinay sa computer,labi na kung depiktoso na kin ug maka pa restart sa computer..,,,kung ok ra sa safe mode,,then do a normal boot,,din observe,,if mg restart,then right click my computer,go to properties,din goto advance tab,,din locate startup n recoverry tab under advance tab unchck automatic restart,,if after ana dili na mg restart,pro maka incounter ka ug bluee scren then,,tan-aw unsa ang error,,be advise that unchking the auto restart is not good,,but thats the only way to know the problem,,,but if mg restart ghapon then power supply na bro,,hop these help..

di ba dili man siya ganahan mogasto ug daku?
naka try na man gud ko ug ingon ani nga problema. daghan ko ug gipang ilisan...PS, video card, memory gipadak-an to 512, reseat tanan nga peripherals ug CPU/memory - kapila kaha to nako gi-disassemble ug assemble ang tanan nga components...wa epek! gi butangan pa nako ug bag-o nga silicon compound ang CPU/heatsink, ilisan ang FAN kay hinay na, abug kaayo na pud....wa epek! erratic gihapon ang system. Mokalit lang ug restart, kung mag games..mo freeze lang ug kalit...hinay ang internet...dugay open ug applications...dugay kaayo mo shutdown...dugay pa gyud mo load ang XP.

pag FORMAT nako unya fresh install....ni OK na man lagi. Wagtang tanan nga problem!
Nigasto pa ko ug PS ug videocard ug lots of time and sweat unya kadto ra diay FORMAT. hehehe
Gi taud nako ug balik ang mga original nga parts...wa na man magka problema.
So did FORMAT(clean install) cured it?

Kung gi FORMAT pa to nako dayun...dili tingali unta ko makagasto.

hehehe...from experience gyud bro.

mao ako mga datafiles naa sa lain nga partition. ang drive c: OS ra ug mga apps...kung data gani, gibutang gyud nako sa lain nga partition. Unya kung importante gani ang data, back-up lang dayun sa CD. Barato ra gud na ang CD sa CD-R king.

So dili ko magduha-duha ug FORMAT kung naa ko ma notice nga unusual sa ako PC. Kung dili madala ug software i.e., anti-virus, clean-up, defrag, anti-spy..etc then hardware na...physical check-up, unya reseat ang mga 'suspected' nga card. Unya maihap ra man na sila...ahh reseat(tang-tang then uli) tanan.

Unya kung naa lang gihapon, FORMAT na! at this stage, wala pa koy GASTO.
Daku gyud kaayo ug possibility nga corrupted ang OS. Kay dili baya gyud stable ato commercial power (VECO, MECO..etc). Who knows while the harddrive was doing something naa voltage spike/surge nga wala ma pugngi sa imo surge protector. Nakalusot sa imo UPS/regulator. Nilusot pa gyud sa imo PS. Unya 'napandol' ang dagum sa imo harddrive. Nagkampat ang iya agi...na corrupt ang imo OS or favorite app. hehehe

Kung dili madala ug FORMAT, then naa na gyud hardware nga ilisanan. anhi na dinhi ang GASTO!
FORMAT bro ha! dili re-install!

@ruel navs try to check imo software dha reformat sa imo hdd.....kong mao lang gihapon try check imo ram or hdd then try used other hdd kong naa ka ka hulaman.....
