ang battery dali ra jud ma lowbat after 4 hours of continuously using the wifi...pero kung ebook reading lang naa sa mga 6~7 hours. Thanks to battery app sa Android market.

i bought mine from aliexpress.com pero naa pod sa ebay.com

for processor side, ang VIA ug Rockchip hinay ug non-upgradeable to Android 2.2 in case ang imong mapalit is 2.1. Telechips 8902 based processors are upgradeable to Android 2.2 and more faster and can do more multitasking.

System memory is not all 256MB ang uban 128MB. Naa pod 512MB ang system memory pero ang processor kay Cortex-A8 1Ghz. which is more faster, and more expensive almost times 2 sa presyo, recommended if ang imong purpose is more than ebook reading.

For the OS, most of them are Android 2.1 and some only are 2.2 version. But others still sell 1.6 versions mostly ana ang VIA processors. But I don't know if 1.6 that have VIA and Rockchip processors are upgradeable to 2.1. But for now, Android 2.2 upgrades are not yet stable. Pero kadtong tablet nga naa na 2.2 daan ok na to.

I only bought mine for ebook reading purposes and loading photos into it only. It is economical rather than buying a bunch of books and bringing it along wherever you go plus the additional weight.

By the way, 7 inch is ok for me and 10 inch is overkill.

I've got a 1.6 version which came with an adapter to connect USB devices and also LAN socket. When I try to connect to internet using Smartbro LAN it detects an ethernet connection, but when I use the browser the only site I can connect to is Smartbro.com.ph and there is no redirect to login. Any ideas how to connect without wi-fi signal?

I've been playing with this Apad for a couple of days and it's slow as hell compared to my PC and kinda temperamental. Photo quality is lousy and don't expect smooth playback of HD movies. Having said that I've got to admit it's pretty good value for money... that is if you just want an e-reader with popmail, browsing capability and of course a music player. There are loads of Android apps out there and some of the free ones are really excellent too!

Android 1.6 is very slow compared to 2.1 or 2.2, plus is your hardware, I think you have the 128mb version of RAM only and the VIA and Rockchip CPU versions.

You are right and I agree that this is only for ebook reading only.

The unit I have is 256mb RAM, I'm liking it more and more. Personally I'm not interested in playing games or watching movies on a handheld device. I'm particular about picture quality and do all that stuff on my high-end desktop, but for convenience this thing is great. It doesn't weigh much, is roughly the same size as a paperback book, has a working gravity sensor to automatically change the aspect and will accept a USB mouse and keyboard. It's easy to forget how much cheaper these tabs are compared to branded hardware. so I'm willing to forgive it's limitations.

IF you are on the go "does not need wifi" the so-called 3G version will be nice for you.

maybe good for browsing and reading e-books in wifi zone area. you can also consider joypad form kingcom, its android 2.2 already
