Based on the subject, my vote goes to #1. I actually find myself thinking about pinas every time I'm at the Pacific coast looking towards the west. I would prefer that there were no boats in the foreground area. It's simpler and better that way, IMO.

My vote goes to #4. "Nostalgia" connotes something from the past, or something old. The fence reminds me of the fences back in the old days, though the blur kind of gets distracting.

#5 would have gotten my vote; it reminds me of the old poso we used to have. But it looks too cluttered for me, with the doormat/rug and the mop in the background. Perhaps a different angle would have made a difference in impact.

Congratulations bai! You've won 10 blank CDs on a spool. Thanks to Edwin_sn!

There wasn't much turn-out during this game but hopefully we will have more entries the next game.

Crashburn will be GM for next game. Thank you all.

    bahala'g awahi..

1 - there are two things here that would've made the picture really suit with the theme if one of them was only partially seen:
    (1) the background (sea, sky and the boats), (2) the girl.

if there was only a small part of the girl shown, the picture could've worked. or if there was only a small part of the bakcgound shown with the figure of the girl dominating the picture. thing is that the picture gave the viewer everything to the point that the 'main characters' of the picture are clashing. not one of them wants to give the other a chance to shine. very good picture, though.

2 - if he was holding a guitar outside his house with a candle near him (assuming there is a black out) then i would've gotten that.

3 - nice pic but doesn't really fit with the theme. i agree that sepia would've suited this one better.

4 - this one has my VOTE. we pretty much see fences almost everyday if we but look around. whether they be fences made of plants, wood, or imaginary fences that tells outsiders to "stop right there this is personal territory." nostalgia is a place we only rarely visit - and most of those visits are not of our own accord - because the fence of the present guards us from it most of the time. i think the fence here has a deeper meaning besides childhood memories of jumping and creeping into them.

5 - i have memories nga maligo sa poso. so this might've been really good. "might've." i think this would've worked if shot from afar. because it is shot too close, it is screaming at you to get a reaction out of it. if shot from the proper distance with the whole length of the "poso" shown, the viewer perhaps might immediately imagine in his mind the splashing of water and naked children running about while the women are washing clothes.

    congrats to entry #4.

    keep them pics coming!
