    FIELD REPORT:

finding out about this place, it sounds genuinely pinoy. coz where else can you find a carenderia that serves japanese food.

had a little chat with the owner/cook/chef. the place is about a year old now. his name's not "joed", but rather a combination of his name and his wifey. he worked at this japanese hotel (i forgot the name na) at yokohama for 20 years. imagine that! and yeah, he's got tattoos all over his back, but he seems like a nice fellow. he worked in a band by day. and the hotel by night. and the wifey's a mix of german and pinoy (didn't really get a good look at her). the guy speaks tagalog though, i think he's from the luzon area originally

he said the place is packed during lunch. we were there by 9pm. the sign on the front says 10am-1am

anyways, going in from the main road is a little tricky if your bringing a car. parking can be done on the basketball court. and careful, it's a bit steep. there was a guy who guided me when i parked. the location seems safe enough.

so, here's what it looks like outside:

and here's what's inside. it's a quaint little place. like your eating in your living room:

    the menu!

    our orders:

sukiyakidon - that's egg in the corner. he said to mix it with the beef.
to the D, to the E, to the L-I-C-I-O-U-S!

    shogayaki - delisyoso too!

maki - not really sure if it's california maki. there was no crab meat in it. not the best i tasted, but okay

190 for the 3 dishes, plus 2 bottles of coke. if that's not sulit, i dont know what is

you guys better try it there. for me, im gonna go back there if im craving for some cheap, sulit japanese food
