Since God was mentioned by Hawking. Here's a little science debate for which why there could STILL possibly be a God.

Humans are the only known sentient species in the universe, we are carbon based. There could be a possibility of a different sentient being in this universe made of pure energy as opposed to organic compounds. He/she/it could have developed elsewhere, or in a different universe altogether. If parallel universes are real, then beings from that dimension might exhibit different properties to what we are familiar with. One theory suggests that there are infinite 'bubbles' of different universes.
This is just speculation and theory. I am not discounting Hawking's findings, just offering a different facet that some people might find interesting.

There is one passage in the Bible that I find interesting. It says that if a person looks at God directly, he will die. I find that interesting because that means God must be emitting some form of energy or radiation for that effect to happen, if he did exist.

Every person is entitled to his own opinion into anything even for a person like Stephan Hawking. Stephen Hawking has always been known to dis the existence of God. Anyway, it doesn't matter what he believes. Science is science. Just because they are world renown scientists, it doesn't mean that we have to believe everything they say especially when its not related to science. I'm not really a big fan of Stephan Hawking myself. His research is amazing but he hasn't won a Nobel prize yet. He just got famous because his research is a topic the a lot of science enthusiasts find remarkable.

I'm not going to go into religion because I don't know much about that and this is not the right place to discuss this topic. I am just disappointed that many regular people especially some of my friends are reposting this news all over the net and consider it as the holy grail Atheism. Aside from being a brilliant physicist, he's just another guy who doesn't believe in God, nothing more nothing less.

God did not created the universe, that was just too simple task for a God, "Universe" is a small part of what God has created, he created the word, "EVERYTHING"
