but then again i salute these gallant men who are willing to sacrifice their lives for the country... whom a lot are ungrateful for their dedication and service... (although naa lng gyud mga bad apples).

undanga na na pamolitika sa military...

I am not afraid but willing to become a soldier if I can but I am not physically fit to do so. And I do not comfortably sit here at home. That's why in my own little way through this forum I share my sentiments.

    I certainly agree.

The need for our soldiers to be assigned in their respective fields does not only mean they have to wage war over these terrorist groups. They are primarily assigned there to protect the residents who are being terrorized by these groups. It is their duty to protect the people. It is not simply because the government wanted to wage war against these terrorists.

In as much as there is a need to eliminate the terrorist groups, we need to assign soldiers to protect the people in the area. Maybe there should be an intensified campaign to fight these terrorist groups. More so, the anti- terror law pending before the Congress should be passed immediately.

With the intensified campaign against the remnants of ASG in Sulu, the Marines might be able to finish off the Abu Sayyaf Group in time. More so, the positive assessment of a US commander on the idea that ASG will be wiped out is an indication that the terrorist group will soon be eliminated by the military.

It was sad on the military's part that the big encounter resulted to death of some of the soldiers. However, these are just some of the sacrifices in order to finish off the terrorist groups.

OffT: I have high regards with soldiers. Does that necessarily mean I have to come from the premiere military institution?

OnT: Added 6000 strong force in the hunt for ASG members were sent to Sulu. This does not ensure success in the operation of the AFP but nevertheless it shows off their serious effort to wipe out the terrorist group. JI leaders threaten for new terror attacks which should be a reminder of the threat of reprisal bombings and attacks that may arise due to our intensified Sulu offensive

And how many of these men can make it alive? Are they counting only the numbers and not the lives of these soldiers? Lo-oy sab gani tong mga PMA'ers nga ibala sab didto. Kung kinahanglan tag tabang sa US kay mga terorista man ni atong kontra then ask for their help and expertise. They might send us the needed weapons to wipe out these JI's and ABU's once and for all.
