currently using a hawk laptop backpack and loving it!
it has a separate compartment for the lappy and then
a big main compartment that can fit dSLR, extra lens
or two, flash, accessories. has side pockets I can fit cables,
power cords, and extension cords plus additional side mesh
pockets. lots of additional pockets on front for filters,
batteries, mouse, pens, lenspen, etc... plus an additional
pocket for small gadgets like cellphone or music player.

I just added in my own padding for the main compartment
to protect the gear.

kindly tell them make some bags for travel/bird/wildlife photographers that may fit 4-5 lenses and 2 bodies... and still have rooms for shirts and etc... preferably a little weather proof

i sent them the website links of lowepro and tamracs for their reference of design ideas. i told them also about your request dex.

here is an update of my last recent communication with mr./mrs. chester ching from hawk company:

Thank you for your patronage of our products, the cost of locally made goods certainly higher than the foreign brands that are made in china but we will do our best to keep the prices down so that everyone can afford to buy a camera bag. The camera bags that you requested are in the prototype development stage as of now we might start manufacture in 4 months. I hope your lunch kit/ camera bag is still in good shape. Thank you again.


i told them that lowepro and tamracs of which the websites i sent to them, for their visual idea reference, are not china brands but of US. i also pictured to them the sole reason why i requested them to produce camera bags, aside that i am fond with their products since i was in elementary grade school, is the overwhelming prices of the foreign branded ones.


no matter how smart, durable and stylish a bag can be, still affordability is the biggest factor of all.


lets see what they can do about it soon. high hopes from a long time fan and user of their products.

I have a lady photographer friend who I remembered complaining that almost all DSLR bags kay panglake daw ug design. Wala daw dri available nga para ilaha. Madaot daw ilang fashion style kung mo attend ug party naka gown/ party dress dayon mag bag ug Tamrac or lowepro!

Maybe Hawk can cater to this market also. I see a lot of female hobbyists nowadays...
