walay klaro gyud atong ID system(s)... even atong driver's license dili valid sa banko kung walay official receipt. they just keep adding ID's. I think we can do okay with the present system we have nya the government just has to make sure that they issue ID's to the right people, rather than implimenting a new system all the time... this will only cost more for our government and entail more hassle nato (I heard that blind people can still get a legitimate Driver's License from LTO )

    Questions:

    1. Is there a country who uses this already??
    2. Is it effective?

Sa USA, Canada, and other developed countries ila gigamit kai Social Security Number ra bai. Mao na ila pinaka important nga ID sa tanan. Halos dili ka maka lihok kung wala ka SS#. People pay thousands of dollars just to get a fake number so they can get a driver's license, credit card, and even a cel phone. Atong Social Security ID diri ambot nalang...

Parang narinig ko sa China they are also using ID system. My friend told me, whatever transactions they made the first thing that will ask them is their ID. I remeber he told me, if one do not that ID, then it only means he/she is not registered. ( i still have to research on this)

Btw, I think this ID thing is good, it has been welcomed by Sen. Lacson and Sen. Biazon also but they said it should be expanded...

then how bout we do the same thing? put another use to our SSS, its under utilized anyway..mostly used when applying for loans...
It doesnt make sense really if we add another ID and does the general functions...
for me, if this is not planned accordingly , wll just add to our tax burdens...

not true brod.. Im in China right now..they dont ask as long as you buy....it doesnt matter...
only except for the hotels, they ask for passport which is SOP man sad..
Still, if they make an ID that incorporates everything : ( SSS, Pag-Ibig, tax records) then ok rako...
but do we really think this proposal will gonna work ? ... here??
