I saw all of them during the audition sa PDA at SM last June 27 and i can really say nga they deserve to be chosen as star dreamers kay mga power kaayo ug tingog especially si Panky. But kadto gipakanta ni Direk Lauren si Jay-R sa iyang "HILOT" nga song kay waaaaaaahhhhhhhh tibuok crowd kanta jud ug apil. Sus nakalingi jud si Direk Lauren sa audience

gwapohan ko ni Jay-R ug dili pa jud sya hambug...dili jud sya "feeling" ba unlike sa uban nga feeling sikat na. Hilom2x ra jud sya didto sa line up..magpakilid ra intawn. But ang ako pagtan-aw niya kay mura sya si Piolo nga moreno and niwang version lang heheheh

si Migs kay gwapo pud. Nindot kaayo ang iya pagkakanta sa HAPPY BIRTHDAY ala romantic balladeer version hehehe

sa ktext ni Direk Lauren kay naka-ingon jud sya nga marami na namang strong contenders ang Cebu

i hope makuha tanan Cebuanos and si chai pud sa final 16 scholars who will enter the academy

Pareho ra man ang PI og PDA sa pagkakaron nga wala pay tantong maayo gawas sa uban natong mga kaugalingong bisaya. Besides ang PI kasagaran mga lawgaw og mga papansin pa man ang ilang gipakita. Nihit pa man ang mga maayo na ilang gipakita. Og sa tulo ka episodes sa PI, nabored jud ko. Hastang batia gyud sa editing. Sa PDA sad, bati man ilang unang episode kay wala man kaayoy tantong maayo og unya nangayabag pa gyud ang uban. Last episode ra ko giganahan og gamay kay naa may mga maayo gikan sa atoa.

Bati ang set-up. I tried watching the show, mga 3 minutes ra ako gi spent kay grabe ka bati. Hehe. Sorry po mga taga Philippine Dream Academy. Trying hard jud inyong set-up. Murag show sa mga 5 years old below. hehehe. O.A. ang host, O.A. ang mga judges, O.A. ang stage, hehehe.

Unsay naay looks? Dili man gani hitsuraan kaayo kasagaran sa mga contestants sa PDA (with the exception of the last episode nga nag-improve). Ang ako lang ganahan sa PDA kay mas open sila to original compositions and other genres. Maayo unta kung mo-live up sila to that promise. Pero like PI, medyo bland og walay excitement pa ang PDA.

Nya unsa may labot sa imong frend ini. What matters is your own opinion kay ikaw may mutan-aw oy. For now, wa jud ko malingaw pa sa Philippine Idol. Kung buot huna-hunaon mao man unta ni akong gihuwat kay tigtan-aw man ko og American Idol. Siguro si Yobabs pa lang akong ganahan. Kadtong uyab daw Dondon Hontiveros kay maayo daw pero dili pa ko ka-ingon sa pagkakaron nga nindot gyud. Siguro inig abot na sa finals (top 12) maka-ingon na ko nga lingaw.

For me, mas exciting ang Philippine Idol. Philippine Idol's format shows nga walay discrimination sa ila show weither you are not so good looking. We call some of the contestant pasaway but thats how they want to be recognized by the audience but it doesnt mean nga they can win the contest. Katong pasaway kaayo nga si "Santos" wala man to siya kasulod sa top 84 hehe kay dili man to diay maayo nga singer. PDA format is for "outside beauty" while PI is more on inside. I remember the show American Idol winner Fantasia Barreno saying "my lips is big but my talent is BIGGER".

You obviously haven't seen American Idol with that kind of thinking that looks and personality don't factor in positioning yourself high in the contest. I won't be surprised if it happens in Philippine Idol and PDA as well. Besides what makes you say with that sweeping statement that PDA is only for "outside beauty" when like I said in my previous post a lot of them are ordinary looking. If you go to another board, the contestants especially from the NCR were criticized for it in addition to being bland and nothing note-worthy about their singing.

And about Jeffrey Santos, that guy shouldn't have even gotten the Gold Pass in the first place. Such a waste. There were many other auditioneers especially from Mindanao who were way better than him who didn't get the Gold Pass. I guess I should make a sweeping statement also that Philippine Idol's format is more for freaks, sob stories than pure talent to make some ratings. I wouldn't stand by that statement though because I have some hopes that they do have great talents in the top 24. As I would for PDA, I hope their top 16 are really good.

Just so you know, I am watching both shows and all of their episodes.
