basin variable geometry turbo ang gamit sa sorento,mao taas ang output sa engine.
I just got one last week, comparing it with my old (1st gen) Sorento, engine wise, its much powerful yet quiet and smooth, you would even mistook it for a gasoline. Ride is much better due its monocoque body versus the former which uses a ladder on frame. So far I have been averaging 10-11km/L vs 8km/L of my old Sorento.
@GeoCaster, yes its VGT technology.
@deejay, you are correct its actually de-tuned in order not to have problems with our non-euro 5 emmision compliant diesel fuels.
dili diay crdi ang monty? diba crdi (DI-D) turbo intercooled man?
daog ang sorento for me. specs wise and basing sa tech ila gamit VGT(no turbo lags) mura na gas ang sakyanan mudagan pero diesel lng. apilan pajud ana ila breakthrough technology na R engine. hoping na even gi lower ang standards para magka compatible sa phil diesel kay di ghapon magkaproblima.
German engine man gud in korean chassis disguise. Mas advance ang german engine engineering compared to the Japs. Mao na ang wa mahibaw-i sa kadaghanan that is why they are reluctant in getting a Hyundai/Kia car.
The germans invent engines while the japanese copied it and modified.
i see.. by the way sir, aren't you the same gregg_g from another automotive forum? kadtong owner ug sorento na metallic bronze ba to imoha sir? kumusta man ang performance sir? dili ba tagtag ang ride? how bout engine response? i could just imagine having 190 horses under the hood... yumyum...
