naa na ni sa ako calendar.. nice
haha hopefully it's not gonna rain...usually raba every important gathering will also be associated with rain or cloudy skies....
There's still 50-50 chance of cloudy weather by tomorrow afternoon, but hopefully it will get clearer as evening wears on.
Some interesting points to note about this event:
1. Based on some measurements and calculations I made with Google Earth and Stellarium, the moon rises at around 5:09PM tomorrow (June 26, 2010), and when it's about 2-3 degrees from the horizon, you would see it rising directly over Salinas road, if you're looking down the road from the JY Square area. Could also apply if looking down the road from Insular Life bldg towards the pier at Mabolo area.
2. As it rises, its left side will slowly start to darken. Again, I'm not 100% sure about the reddening, but I am pretty sure the left limb of the moon will keep getting darker and darker until about 7:30PM (the max coverage of the umbra).
3. The dark area (earth's shadow) leaves the moon at around 9:06PM (leaves via top side/part of the moon), but the penumbra still covers it until around 10:21PM.
Hoping to get decent shots.

may unta ang weather ugma dili pariho karon.........
kita ko! right now, hapit na xa ma full... pero noob ko. i saw the moon na half pero in a vertical position...
The outcome almost conformed to my expectations:
a) Possibly no reddening
b) Rising of moon will be obscured by clouds/haze
c) Will clear up as the moon rises
Took some photos at max coverage (7:30PM), will post tomorrow.
