You need at least 120hz monitor.

3D Vision Requirements

3D is a really lame gimmick. Even if its Nvidia or ATI. It will only hurt your eyes and your brain. A bigger screen will serve you well.

ATI has a stereoscopic driver(i3d if I recall correctly) though and it can do 3D on CSS and on some games. But then you're gonna need the 3D glasses.

Don't fall into this 3D gimmick. Blame Avatar for pushing it.

@shepherd.... have you tried it? almost everything can hurt your eyes dude.. it's like saying "dont use CRT monitors coz the radiation can damage ur eyes".. wat's the point of having a 46 inch lcd monitor if the images are still in 2D.. there's still a barrier between you and the gameplay...

Getting hit by a paintball is totally different than getting hit by a bullet. Your analogy translates to "I don't want to get hit by a paintball because its like a bullet and it kills". The point of having a 46 inch monitor is for more immersion. 3D only adds depth of the illusion which is highly achievable with different camera views.

3D does not make gameplay more realistic. If you want gameplay to be realistic, join the army, or play a nice game of chess. 3D is not the evolution of the TV. It's just a gimmick to cushion Avatar.

For the sake of the conversation, yes, I have tried 3D imaging (stereoscopy) and to be frank, my eyes and my mind hurts after 2 hours of gameplay.
