Default Check for MIME types first

Just checking for the extension is not enough. The best way is to check for
MIME types. Warning: Different browsers may send different MIME types for
the same file (example: the MIME type of a JPG file sent from a Mozilla-based
browser is different from MS IE).

Get PHP and MySQL by Larry Ullman. It's good.

Side note: I also encourage you to use Smarty Template Engine to
separate PHP (application logic) from the HTML (presentation logic/layer).

While it's PHP4-based, I have no problems running it with PHP5 (just
make sure you suppress errors with the @ operator because you'll
get deprecated this, deprecated that warnings).

Unsay traditional? Kong di ka ganahan mo gamit sa "kadtong makita sa php manual" ... ayaw gamit PHP. It isn't very hard to output to XML once you understand XML. If you are looking for algorithms or classes ... "traditional" PHP gihapon na.

Unsay by the book? The PHP manual has EVERYTHING PHP can do. Whether you like it or not, everything you do is "by the book". The code and algorithms an individual programmer creates is his.

I believe you either need to understand XML or learn more of PHP because right now I can't help but laugh.

I haven't used (or do I know XML) but I searched google using "PHP & XML & MySQL" and found this. Is this what you're looking for M@rvIn?
