Problem Installing the Correct Driver for ATI 4850. Need Help!

I dont have Windows7 box anymore(due to compatibility issues) but yours is probably a driver conflict. try to remove your old drivers through add/remove programs, uninstall your videocard tru device manager, restarting as necessary. if naa ka driver cleaner or driver sweeper better to remove remaining files and registry entries left by the old drivers. try reinstalling your new driver.

Downloaded Driver Sweeper. Uninstalled Properly - Reboot. Installed 10.1 - Gives out an Error: ATI Graphics Driver Installed, Or Ati Driver not Functioning Properly.

Uninstalled Again - Driver Sweeper after Restart. Restart after Driver Sweeper - Installed 9.12 - Can now Maximize Display - but Max Resolution on Games - COD:MW2 - Crysis and Crysis Warhead. MagFreez Freeze siya.

Took 4850 - Place 4670 - Installed Driver - Maximize Display - OK and Played Games With no Problems.

maybe its an OS problem with your card or maybe drivers improperly installed. sa ako 4850 wa ko ka encounter ug crash2x etc with drivers playing high-end games with high-settings ang na agian ra nko na problem kay katong nag daot ako system unit i think naamong siya shorted daw ang core etc matod pa sa greenvalley.

Kung imo nang gi swap sa HD4670 nimo without changing the other hardware stuff and drivers, unya ok sya, then it MUST BE the HD4850 ang problematic.

Unsay brand sa videocard, Albatron or Triplex? parente ra na sila, daghan problema.

hmm... sounds to me like a problimatic v.card under win7? try daw search for forums about compatibility issues with this vcard and win7....

to isolate if this is a win7 compatibility or a damaged(hope not so) v.card, try running it in WinXP using the system u have...

somebody suggests to update drivers sa soundcard kay conflict ang onboard sound with the hdmi port sa 4870. some even suggest to disable onboard sound. anyways try lang the suggestions from that forum, it may help... low-end raman ako system now gud so i cant perform actual test sa suggestions there...

Triplex Sir. Last option nako is to borrow 4850 sa ako Barkada para ako ma Check - If everything is Ok then I can conclude na this should be on the V-Card. I'll keep everyone Posted, the owner is really kind enough to even help me troubleshoot the Problem bisan Kadlawn na. Thanks ana Bro..

Sa imu na Card Sir, ma install nimu ang Latest Driver? 10.1 na Version? Cause dili nako ma maximize ang Dispaly (taman ra siya sa 1400x1050). Pero if 9.12 and 9.11 na Version sa Driver - Ok ang display pero Mag Lag/Freeze/Hang ako COD:MW2 ang Crysis ug Crysis Warhead. Pero if Ibalik nako ako 4670 na VC - ok ra kaau ang COD:MW2 ang Crysis ug Crysis Warhead. Imu Sir? Unsa man mahitabo if install ka ug 10.1 na Version?

Update lang - Nakigamit ko sa 4850 sa ako Barkada to Try and Install the Newest Driver para sa Card. Will try and check if MaMaximize ba ang Display and Maka play sa Games (COD:MW2; Crysis and Crysis Warhead) - Anhi na diri ma Prove ang Tanan. Will provide Feedback after an Hour inig Uli nako.
