Nice ang Lake Danao. We were actually crazy enough to go scuba diving there. Cold, cold water, and very dark. Gigantic petrified trees on its silty bottom. It's like Sleepy Hollow down there. They say there are giant eels (kasili) there but we didn't have the pleasure of meeting one underwater.

Well well well... It's good to know i'm not the only looney twat who's bloody crazy enough to scuba-dive the lake.
It is bitterly cold, specially at the bottom. And due to it's altitude, you can't expect any thermocline down there, do you...
And yes, i have seen those bloody giant eels (not while i'm diving, thank heavens for that). Which body diametres as large as mine... And they were sold for P350/kilo back then. Taste great grilled with lemon and lotsa chilli. Great tukka for brew..
