A personal grip of mine though, I'm annoyed by people who buy all these expensive and very durable gears, only to store them in a dry box for fear of getting fungus, dust, scratches and the elements. Meron iba dyan na naka DSLR more than 2 years na ang camera di man lang umabot ng 10k actuations for fear baka masira yung shutter. "

i agree naay enthusiast ni comment sa akong unit nga bag-o pa daw nako gipalit pero mura nag 2 yrs ang porma(rain and shine always ready kc ang cam hehe) !so i replied to the person " whats the use of having an expensive DSLR if you just let it rust without using?"
and he even blutted nga ako cam bati mo capture ug photos kay blurry daw iya man gisuwayan ug gamit..(note always naka manual mode akong cam)...so i just said aw xenxa lang kay noob man god akong cam ,


the enthusiast i mentioned owns a nikon D90
i wonder whats the use of his cam?

I don't think photography has rules.... I think we make our own rules, because we take our own photos. The important thing is that we take that shot. We can take a picture but making a picture is a different thing --- so for this.. we have our own rules on how we take our pictures..

And dj dark is right.. there are only guidelines.

lingawa jud basahon basta naay lain2 na side oi..hehe maka learn tawon ming mga naa sa kilid.

as for me...naka "program" man gud atong mata,as part of universe, kung unsay nindot og unsay maot..mao nang makaingon ta nga naay "rules" or "guidelines" to follow and sometimes to play with it. but isa ra ghapon aim, para maka produce og something nice, tawag nila art, na kung atong i share daun makadawat kag "wow" or "nice" fulfilling kaayo. as long as we are happy pressing the shutter..keep shooting, bahalag ulan or init..duh kulbaan lagi wala miandar ang cam pagkahuman, hehehe may na lang nag self heal ra cya..so click click click na pod!

Using a DSLR as "pamporma" is another thing though.

..this is so true... not only with camera...designer products... materialism ...only in the Philippines. In other countries, people don't care what brand of camera, shirt, even car you drive. .. takes me back.

my caucasian cousins in the US don't like to drive Toyotas or Hondas kay sort of "jologs" daw para nila.

philippines, other countries... it's all the same. ang degree lng nuon of materialism varies. but it's still there
