mp3s are compressed audio files and their quality is not as good as audio CD files. so i think not. i love CDs not only because of the sound quality but because of the whole package. CDs are more fun (especially for collectors like me) because you get to have inlay cards and some colorful album artwork. an iPod cannot replace it in my opinion.
