How about all photographers who have entries to the monthly assignment, vote for their favorite photos of the month? They can vote in their photo too. Each photographer can vote for 3 photos. The one with the most votes wins. Only the photographers who were able to submit their entries before the deadline can vote. Each photographer can only submit 1 photo per monthly assignment.

The problem with this is that some might favor the works of their friends even though others are more deserving. But then I think that's as close as we can get to a fair scoring system without getting a panel of judges made up of Photography Gurus. We always say before you judge my photo, show me what you got, so this time, only photographers with entries in the contest can judge.

There might be better ways though, just an idea.

We can't have categories for different skill levels. Because if we do, then we will have to define what a PRO photography is and when can you call someone an amateur photographer. I always think that by playing with the more experienced guys, you level up faster. Playing with people in your own level will only slow you down. Amateur photographers can join or sit in the bench, watch and learn from the more experienced people here. FYI, I'm an amateur photographer And I'm hoping this monthly assignment will attract more experienced photographers to join in and share their knowledge/skills for all of us.
