Science IMO is the highest pursuit of knowledge. It is essentially an advance exercise of the mind that aims to prove the assumptions made by other bodies of human knowledge ---like philosophy, theology, even art and literature--- using empirical data, objectivity, and facts. If the rule of Philosophy is the child-like ability to wonder, the rule of Science is critical thinking and skepticism being the chastity of the mind. Eventually Science will explain everything.
The very intrinsic nature of science is Curiosity.

It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend
a little of this mystery every day never lose a
holy curiosity.
Science is a NATURAL explanation, anything beyond natural is not science.
