the main objective of this is to test if you AV realtime security is working or not... either way virus can still infect you pc since it has different pattern (DNA kug sa Human virus), still its a nice way to tell if you have realtime protection...

the best way to avoid you pc not inffected is very simple.... DON'T BE STUPID...
