^kani ra akong ma-share on punctuation, bro:

I loved him, but he didn't love me.
I loved him but wasn't able to express that love well.

In the first example, we can make two sentences if we take out but.
    I loved him. - OK
he didn't love me. - OK
    ~use a comma

In the second example, we cannot make two sentences.
    I loved him. - OK
wasn't able to express that love well. - Not OK; there is no subject

    ~do not use a comma

wrong: if i was an astronaut..
right: if i were an astronaut..

    (redundancy)
    wrong: cope up with
    right: cope with

^yup. If I were... is used in unreal conditional statements.

    In the lyrics
If I were a boy even just for a day
I'd roll out of bed in the morning
And throw on what I wanted
And go drink beer with the guys

If I were a boy... --> unreal situation; we use verbs in the past form (had, could, went, and were even for I, she/he, it)
I'd [I would] roll out of bed in the morning...--> result; we use "would"

If I were President of the Philippines, I would have boxing banned.
If she were here, I would slap her.
If I had much money, I would buy an island.
If I went to Paris, I would be happy.

common mistake: more better = redundant

use much better instead. much here is an adverb describing the adjective better

    .

hi! "President" should be lowercased. Use capitals on titles (e.g., president, atty., prime minister, king, etc.) if it follows a name, ex. Pres. Aquino. And the definite article the should be used before president

^thanks for the comment, panganod. other grammar handbooks do accept the use of capitalized titles even when they are used alone. But yes, the most common recommendation would be to capitalize when used with a full name or last name.
