My Reply:
- I'm not saying that what we have is not the word of God. I am just answering the question straightly. And if you don't get or have realized the original question, here it is:
Is the bible you have now, the inspired word of God?
- I have replied, No. Today we have only the translations.
My comment is this: People including, Christians,
wanted to claim that the translations we have are the inerrant and infallible Word of God. What's the deal? The most important that we still have the manual for us to be used at least it contains TRUTH. While the most important thing to note is that the Original Author is right within ourselves (if you are a born again believer) - The Holy Spirit. The Bible says,
John 16:13-15 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
When we realize that we have errors in our translation, we come to God in prayer and that He will illuminate us through His Spirit (who is the original author of the Bible). The only problem although is that most Christians don't know how to access the throne room of God and doesn't even know how to be lead and guided by the Holy Spirit.
I CHALLENGE YOU ALL TO ASK MORE QUESTIONS.
Thank you for your detailed reply sir.. BTW, may i ask if you are a catholic apologetics sir?
