if you want to use ubuntu go to Ubuntu Home Page | Ubuntu just download the ISO file try 32bit usa kay medyo lisud lisud ang 64bit kay i-tweak pa nimo.
As for programs sa buntu, naa ra sa applications>add/remove download ra ka no need to buy CDs or anything BTW once you have downloaded the ISO try installing it via WUBI, naa ra na sa CD. You can install ubuntu ON TOP of WINDOWS and remove it like any other programs under windows, para makakita ka unsa ka nindut ang buntu.
If you don't want to install on your HDD you can even test it by running live, inig boot put the cd then install on RAM. Makikita ka imo pc modagan way gamit ang HDD he he he

bro use ubuntu 8.04LTS
kay daghan ang support... linux is a freeware...
8.04 is supported until 2011updates. It will ask you if you prefer to update to the latest which is 9.04, one more month na lang and the karmic koala will be released in the wild.
What other OS allows you to update to the latest release via update manager?
