i have to say that i disagree on that...we'll performance wise, 775 has been clearly left out, but when speaking of the current user "needs" 775 (core 2 family) still is more than able to provide...and IMO, the current core i5 pricing (and paired with mobo support) isn't actually "mainstream" for me...

imho though the p55 is tempting and nice but its not worth of an upgrade on my part since my Q6600 + P35 setup still rox!!! will wait for the 8 core procs or if my apps need me to change my current setup.

Very true. In a few months, 32nm processor will come by, and LGA 1156 will surely follow. Not worth upgrading till next year.
