lisod gyud. . .heheh
the flow chart in my own opinion is too strict for a doglover like me... yes, its a perfect way to preserve breed quality and conformation to standards-- that is if your goal is only to produce puppies who will be qualified to join shows.
what's important for me is that my puppies qualify to be a perfect companion for those who need them without compromising their quality in terms of "health".
pero since that chart was taken from a top pug breeder, i think if there is someone who needs to strictly follow that chart-- it would be him. he wouldnt be one of the best diba if di niya na ifollow. =)
hehe. noble ang intention sa flow chart. but, in agreement with tsikay101, i think most people get a dog for companionship, not for dog shows. and with respect to breed standards, only humans made that, not the dogs. most purebreds were at one time in history crossbreds before they were recognized as distinct breeds.
very well said. =)
dont get me wrong ha, i do think that's the best thing to do to preserve breed standards. Kennels who are doing that, i admire them.
but what's important in breeding is responsibility. Responsibility in the part of the breeder that his or her litter wouldnt be a nuisance to society or wouldnt go to just any home but to a home that would care and provide for the dog's needs.
