Sorry for the very happy post above... I was over excited...
I'm using Canon bodies and lenses. (yes, "Nikon is the best" is always a joke if you get it from me)
Specs VS Specs = as the old folks would say, its the Indian not the Arrow. So, specs won't matter now.
Controls
Nikon has a lot of short cuts while Canon has a simplified interface.
- I prefer the simple interface. I'm not technical photographer. I think and feel of what to shoot before I think of settings and other technical stuff. I don't care what other people would say about this, it works for me.
Image Quality (assuming we captured a photo with the same camera settings)
Nikon produces Vivid colors by default while Canon has natural or some Nikon users would say... "luspad"
- My style is classic and natural. Classic is top class, classic is standard, classic is priceless... classic photographs are like classic songs... they last. No way I'm going for a camera that produces AMAZING REDs, VIVID GREENS and LIVELY BLUES.

and... I don't have enough time to edit each of my photos to fit what I want. I have no choice but to stick with my 1D and 5D's.

exif: 1/100s, f3.2, ISO6400, 5000 Kelvin White Balance
Nikon 24-70 2.8 / Canon 24-70 2.8L, no filters used.
Simple skin tone comparison. Special thanks to Edfel Santos for his Nikon D3 and Joseph Ong for being a good photo model.
Conclusion: PERSONAL PREFERENCE... pick or stick with the system you are comfortable with.
*oh, wala nako na binuang ha? serious ni! usahay ra ni mahitabo. LOL!
PS. I'm not trying to start a war here ok?
